Together We Can End Child Poverty is a dialogue session aimed at highlighting community solutions to overcoming child poverty. It will enable reflection based on the perspectives of various actors within community – including children, faith actors, policy advocates and civil society – as stakeholders and duty bearers.
The rights of children, including the right to education, peace, participation and equality, will guide this conversation. It will focus on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Universal Child-Sensitive Social Protection (UCSSP), as pathways offering viable solutions to end child poverty. This will be considered within the current context of the COVID-19 global pandemic and its impacts on children and child poverty. In this session, we shall also present the ‘SDGs Learning for Children’ initiative as a solution.:
